Ingredients

For the pork chop:

  • 2 thick cut, boneless pork chops (about ¼ lb each)
  • 1 - 1 ½ Tbsp Steakhouse blend
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

For the sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp minced shallots
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¾ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 1 Tbsp chicken stock
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season each side of the pork chops with the Steakhouse blend. You want a good even layer on each side.
  2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side. The internal temperature needs to be 145°F. Remove from the pan and place on a plate and tent with foil.
  3. Add shallots and garlic to the pan and cook, stirring often for about 2 minutes. Add orange juice, honey, thyme and chicken stock to the pan and bring to a slight boil. Lower heat to a simmer and cook until the sauce is reduced by half, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place pork chops on separate plates and top with sauce. Serve with your favorite vegetables and/or potatoes.
