Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1½ tsp flax seeds or chia seeds (optional)
- ½ tsp Apple Pie Blend
- ⅔ cup milk or milk substitute of your choice (i.e. oat milk, almond milk)
- Optional toppings include sliced banana, raisins, honey, apple sauce, unsalted nuts and sliced apple
Instructions
- In a mason jar or air tight container place the oats, seeds if using and Apple Pie Blend.
- Seal and give it a good shake to mix everything together and get the spices to cover the oats.
- Add the milk to the jar/container, you want to cover the oats by about ¼".
- Place in the refrigerator overnight.
- Remove from the refrigerator and divide between 2 bowls.
- Add the toppings of your choice.
Notes
The overnight oats will stay good in the refrigerator up to 5 days so you can always use this recipe for 1 person over a couple days. You can also make a larger batch and eat it over several days.
